Very inspiring blogger award

My thanks to MixedupMeme from the blog Mix&MatchMeme for this nomination. The tagline “Mixed up, but unmatched” pretty much says it all about MixedupMeme’s blog. It certainly is delightfully random and spontaneous. Seeing that my blog is pretty much the polar opposite of random and spontaneous, I really appreciate a dose of randomness every once in a while just to keep some perspective. Thanks again, MixedupMeme 🙂

OK, now for the award rules:

1. Display the award logo on your blog.
2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
3. State 7 things about yourself.
4. Nominate 15 other bloggers for this award and link to them.
5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award’s requirements.

7 things about me

Since every award seems to require this, I’d like to bend the rules slightly and just list seven songs that really inspire me. I hope that is OK…

1. Michael meets Mozart – The Piano Guys. Highly original and musically brilliant.

2. Now we are free (Gladiator theme song) – Hans Zimmer. Surely one of the most beautiful pieces of music out there.

3. Passionflower – Jon Gomm. One of the most creative songs I’ve ever heard.

4. All of me  – Jon Schmidt. I’m currently learning this song and I can tell you it is just as awesome (and difficult) as it looks…

5. Skyrim – Peter Hollens. To me this is the most impressive of the hundreds of multitrack acapella songs that have recently found their way onto Youtube.

6. Pirates of the Caribbean – Jarrod Radnich. Scarily brilliant piano rendition of a great song.

7. Fanfare – Dante Bucci. Great song on one (rather two) of the most awesome instruments I have ever seen.

Hope you enjoy these songs as much as I do 🙂

  1. Dear Schalk, thank you so much for the nomination. I am delighted to accept it. However, this week has a number of interesting diversions on my plate so there may be a delay of a few days before I can enact the rules. But, thanks again, Paul
