Tata Group-Promote Air India on Thursday said that Alliance Air is no longer its affiliate.
“Alliance Air, from 15 April 2022, will no longer be part of Air India after the investment and will operate as an independent business unit under the Government of India.
In a tweet, the airline said, “Those who have Air India tickets with 4-digit flight numbers starting with ‘9’ or 3-digit flight numbers starting with ‘9I’ are kindly informed that these bookings are for Alliance Air.” Belongs to
“Booking or queries regarding Aliance Air will no longer be handled by Air India from April 15, 2022.”

Last year, the Tata Group bought state-owned Air India, which was in debt, from the central government, bidding more than Rs 18,000 crore in an auction. On January 27, 2022, it took full control of the airline.
