Asus has announced that it will soon unveil a new experience that will change the way Indians watch TV. The Taiwanese tech giant has not specified whether it will announce a new device or something else altogether. Anything Asus has lined up will be announced later this week. A tweet from the company cited Asus OLED TV as “the best of both worlds” and said it might not be a television. Asus has launched a new campaign on social media platforms called “K TV Dekhe”, featuring Indian content creators.
According to a tweet from Asus India, Taiwan’s tech giant could announce a “new era of Asus LED TVs” in the country. The new experience of watching TV will break the cover in India on March 3 at 12 noon IST (noon). The tweet also asked viewers “Do you want to experience the movie anytime, anywhere?” At the moment it remains unclear what Asus has saved for its users.
On Twitter, Asus shared a nearly two-minute long video that shows the emotions of Indians while watching TV. By calling it a social experiment, Asus tries to emphasize the emotional bond that viewers become aware of when they are interrupted by someone or something while watching their TV. The video shows content creators Fancho, Anam Darbar, Abhishek Nigam and Syed Arishfa Khan taking part in social campaigns with their families. In addition, Asus has launched a new social media campaign “Watch Kera TV” which calls on people to test their friends and family.
In the video above, Asus cites a survey by the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), which found that there were more than 892 million active TV viewers in India in the last two years. The tweet further states that what Asus will announce this week will be “#WowTheWorld’s Perfect Partner”.
Recently, Asus has been promoting new products equipped with OLED displays. The company launched their ExpertBook B5 Flip OLED in India earlier this month. During CES 2022, Asus also showcased the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED foldable laptop and the ZenBook 14X OLED space version.
