The seventh date begins at 2:56 p.m.
Seventh day ends – Sunday, May 8, until 5:00 p.m.
Boishakh Shuklapaksh Saptami Udiman 8 May. In such a situation Ganga Saptami will be celebrated on 8th May.

The significance of Ganga Saptami

It is believed that giving on the day of Ganga Saptami has special significance. Bathing in the river Ganges on this day helps one to get rid of all the ongoing problems in one’s life. If it is not possible for you to bathe in the river Ganga, you can add a few drops of Ganga water to your bath water. It is also believed that sprinkling the holy water of Mother Ganges on this day brings an end to all sins.

Ganga Saptami Puja method

On the seventh day of the Ganges, one should first wake up at the Brahma moment and bathe in the Ganges. If it is not possible to bathe in the river Ganga, add a little Ganga water to the bath water at home and take a bath. Then offer flowers, vermilion, akshat, gulal, red flower, red sandalwood to the idol of Ganga or river. Offer molasses or any sweet with it. At the end, light the incense-lamp and recite Sri Ganga Sahasranama Stotra. Chant Ganga Jir Mantra with it. The mantra is ‘Om Namo Bhagwati Hili Hili Mili Mili Gange Ma Pavya Pavya Swaha’.
