McDonalds India – North And East Introduces Happy Meal Readers Program; Encourages Families To Read Together


27 April 2022, New Delhi: McDonald’s India has launched the North and East Happy Mill Readers program, with the promise of adding meaningful changes to the beloved Happy Mill and helping to build reading habits. The new Happy Mill will now include a book with a flashy meal. The collection of books introduced to the Happy Mill Readers program is exclusively written for the program by award-winning author Cressida Cowell, best known for her book series How to Train Your Dragon and The Wizards of Once. As part of the initiative, Cressida has compiled a collection of 12 books called The Tiny Detectives, three of which will be launched each month as part of the McDonald’s Happy Mill. The first three books in the series are The Tiny Detectives: Do Spiders Have Pets? Why do they shine? And can trees talk?

These books are written to arouse the curiosity of little minds, to answer questions that they often seek answers from their parents and give them the opportunity to dive into their creative stories.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, Chief Operating Officer, McDonald’s India – North and East, said, Helps to develop. We also know that it is not easy to find time to read together as a family. Through our Happy Mill Readers program, we strive to help families find the joy of reading together as well as to arouse curiosity and imagination in children.

Reading to children is known to strengthen the bond between parents and give them a reason to get excited to spend time together every day. According to a survey of 1,000 parents, only 15 percent read aloud to their children every day, although 97 percent see the importance of reading and 58 percent say reading is a special time for bondage. In addition, expressing children’s language helps to expand vocabulary. “

In keeping with its commitment to customers and their families, McDonald’s is creating its Happy Mail. Recently, Happy Mile has added new and meaningful choices to its McDonald’s menu with the aim of providing a healthy and nutritious refresh. Happy Mill now brings a bowl of Pineapple Tedbeats Fruit, a delicious, naturally sweet, nutritious side, with no added sugar. McDonald’s has added a new beverage alternative to Happy Mill – Chocolate Milk Shake, a low-fat dairy drink rich in calcium and protein. The new menu items are free of artificial preservatives, artificial flavors and artificial colors.
