Plea moved against ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ over sex-selection scene in trailer | Hindi Movie News


An appeal was made on Wednesday challenging the Ranbir Singh-starrer ‘Jayeshbhai Jordar’ on a scene in an upcoming movie trailer where the use of ultrasound technology for prenatal sex determination can be seen.

The Public Interest Case (PIL) was listed before a division bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Naveen Chawla.

Although the film advertises the use of ultrasound techniques in the trailer of the film, to promote the slogan “Save Girl Child” and it is against female feticide, according to the petitioner.

Petitioner ‘Youth Against Crime’, an NGO, filed by Advocate Pawan Prakash Pathak: “Scene of ultrasound clinic where ultrasound technology for sexual selection is being advertised publicly without sensors and in accordance with Sections 3, 3A, 3B, 4, 6. PC and 22 of the PNDT Act, it is not allowed and hence instant PIL. ”

A ridiculous satire on society – ‘Jayeshbhai Jordar’, produced by Manish Sharma, also starring Shalini Pandey, also known as ‘Arjun Reddy’, who made her big screen debut opposite Ranbir in Bollywood.

The film is directed by newcomer Divyang Thakkar and is set to release on May 13.
