Ranveer Singh reveals makers of his debut film told him he was ‘no Hrithik Roshan’ and advised him to ‘focus on acting’ | Hindi Movie News

Ranbir Singh, who made his big Bollywood debut with ‘Band Baja Barat’ opposite Anushka Sharma, recently revealed that the producers told him that he doesn’t have the look of a Bollywood hero so he must concentrate on acting.

Speaking to Navbharat Times, Ranbir said, “Before the release of my first film, I went to the cinema to see some other movies. My poster was there and two people were discussing the poster. ‘Who is he, he doesn’t look like a hero,’ they said. I heard it. Not only that, even filmmaker Aditya Chopra told me in my second meeting, ‘You are not Hrithik Roshan so you should act’. I answered him, ‘Yes sir. I will do my best. ”

At a recent press conference for his upcoming film ‘Jayeshbhai Jardar’, the actor said that he is still interested in acting. Ranbir told the media, “I will definitely mention Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who really made me an artist. I have learned that acting skills are limitless. There are no boundaries, you can make your own rules on the go. I just want to keep exploring. My appetite for character, story and work is becoming more and more unsatisfied. I am obsessed with film, character and this whole world. I’m just as obsessed with my craft as I was 10 years ago, if possible. ”

Actors like Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Shalini Pandey are also in the lead roles in ‘Jayeshbhai Jordar’. It is set to hit theaters on May 13, 2022.
