SPIC MACAY ‘Anubhav 4’ Day 1: Tripura Deputy CM Vishnu Dev Varma encourages to carry forward rich heritage

Hindustani vocalist Begum Parveen Sultana is performing for the inauguration of SPIC MACAY Hybrid Convention Anubhav4.

On the 1st day of SPIC MACAYs ANUBHAV 4 Convention, prominent personalities were seen lining up to celebrate the rich heritage of our country. On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Vishnu Dev Verma shared his joy of attending the conference and praised the indomitable spirit for carrying on the legacy of our rich heritage. The inaugural concert of Anubhav 4.0 was inspired by Padmabhushan Begum Parveen Sultana of Patiala Gharana (Hindustani Vocal). With the participation of virtually many students from home and abroad, the inaugural ceremony concluded with a message from Dr. Karan Singh (former Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation).

Apart from them, Vice Chancellors and Registrars of various institutions like REVA University, IIT Dharwad, Indira Gandhi College, Tamil Nadu and, ASLA, Alliance University and Vijaybhoomi University, Karjat also attended the inaugural function.

This year, SPIC MACAY is hosting the 4th edition of its online convention – Feel ‘4, which is being conducted in a hybrid format this year. The event started on 29th May and will continue till 4th June 2022, celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – 75 years of India’s independence and dedicated to the late Pandit. Shiv Kumar Sharma, the master of Santu who has recently passed away.

From the very beginning, the Society (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture amongst Youth) has been working to enrich the standard of formal education among adolescents and youth by raising awareness about various aspects of Indian heritage and inspiring young minds.
