Happy Ugadi – Telugu New Year – Everyone! It is celebrated on the first day of the month of Chaitra. This year, it falls on April 2, 2022 The day is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. 1. Ugadi Pachadi:

One of the most important recipes prepared for this festival is Ugadi Pachari, a type of sauce that refers to six flavors – sweet, salty, spicy, sour, sour and bitter – through six ingredients. Many believe that the six tastes match the six emotions that go through everyone’s life. They are – joy, sorrow, anger, fear, annoyance and surprise.

2. Lemon rice

Lemon rice is also known as Chitranna or Nimmakaya Pulihora. The word “puli” here means talk. It is a crunchy, fragrant and tangy rice dish that is easy to make and tastes good.

3. Tamarind rice

Also known as Puliodharai, it is a popular South Indian recipe for pickled and spicy rice. This dish can be savored for lunch or dinner.

4. Semia Payasam

A very satisfying dessert that is easy and quick to prepare. All you need for this is ghee-fried vermicelli and flavored with cashews and raisins. Afterwards, you need to boil the vermicelli in the milk to give it a fuller taste.

5. Madhu or Ujhunu Bhada

This crispy South Indian snack is another highlight of the Ugadi celebration. Enjoyed with black gram (urad dal), made with herbs and spices, with coconut chutney or hot bowl.
