The Vivo X80 series is expected to arrive in China next week. The global rollout is expected to follow soon. Now, two handsets of the Vivo X80 lineup have been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site, suggesting that its launch in India could be closer. A Mali G70 GPU may be added to the base Vivo X80 and top-end Vivo X80 Pro + new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.
The supposed BIS list is viewed by 91Mobiles, which mentions two Vivo devices bearing the V2144 and V2145 model numbers. The former is thought to be the Vivo X80 base and the latter the Vivo X80 Pro + handset. Not much is known about the Vivo X80 Pro. In addition, the company has not yet officially unveiled these smartphones.
Vivo X80 Specification (Rumor)
Past reports have hinted at some key specifications for the Vivo X80. As we mentioned earlier, it is thought to be powered by a Dimension 9000 SoC attached to the Mali G70 GPU. There may be 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM variants at launch. The Vivo X80 has a 6.78-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED display with full-HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is recommended to pack 256GB UFS 3.1 onboard storage.
For optics, the handset is expected to have a triple rear camera setup highlighted by a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 sensor. There may also be 13-megapixel and 12-megapixel secondary sensors on the back. On the front, it can be fitted with a 44-megapixel selfie shooter. The handset is believed to have some gaming-based features like an X-axis linear motor for tactile feedback. The phone is also expected to have a 4,000 mm square chamber for improved heat dissipation.
