Summer is here, and we’ve officially hit the party, holiday and mango season! As much as we enjoy these things, it is also essential that we maintain a healthy summer body. During the summer months we lose a lot of water through sweating, which leads to dehydration. Other common summer symptoms include skin rashes, rashes and heat stroke. Therefore, it becomes even more important that we stick to a healthy lifestyle.
Gaurab Pawar, founder of ‘It’s All About Journey!’, Shares tips to help you achieve a perfectly fit summer body:
Eating a clean diet in the summer has become essential. You should include fruits, low carbohydrates and high protein in your diet. Food items such as cheese, cheese and chicken are rich sources of protein. Healthy fats such as avocados, nuts and seeds and complex carbohydrates such as vegetables and buckwheat should be a part of your daily platter.
The scorching sun and intense heat make you sweat and dehydrate. Hydration is the only way to avoid heat stroke. Add a splash of flavor with fruit or herbal, mixed water, coconut water, lemon water, detox drinks and smoothies. Delicious options!
Exclude sugary drinks and processed foods
Excluding sugary drinks, alcohol and packaged foods will limit your calorie intake. Instead, add more electrolytes to your diet, which will make you feel more energetic and satisfied.
Focus on exercise and core
Not designed to seat people, so exercise as much as possible. There are many ways to work properly throughout the summer months – workout at least four days a week. Focus on strength and cardio training. Include HIIT training during your regime. Add more intensity techniques like dynamic and explosive movements.
Do not underestimate the power of recovery. The body needs time to recover after strenuous exercise. It also helps build lean muscle!
Gaurab Power, founder of It’s All About Journey, says, “Summer is the perfect time to start exercising and lead a healthy lifestyle. Play outdoor sports, go for a walk or take a dip in the pool! Concentrate on getting enough protein, lipids, and complex carbohydrates.” This summer, you can still have fun while taking care of yourself. “
Summer is a good time to focus on your health, lead a clean lifestyle and practice! If you are consistent, make dietary changes and introduce regular workouts, a perfect fit summer body is not too far away.
