The holy month of Ramadan is approaching and Eid will soon be celebrated around the world. Eid is determined by looking at the moon so the exact date of the festival cannot be said. The sighting of the crescent moon in the month of Shawwal will determine the date of Eid, and according to reports, the moon was not seen in Saudi Arabia on 30 April.

This means that another day of fasting will be observed on May 1 and most Islamic countries will celebrate Eid on May 2. Eid-ul-Fitr begins to see the moon of Shawwal.

Muslims in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will see the Eid moon on Sunday. Astronomers say the moon is unlikely to be seen on Sunday. Therefore, this country is likely to celebrate the 30th day of Ramadan on Monday and Eid on May 3, 2022. The final decision will be taken by Hilal Committee, Moon Sighting Committee on Sunday.

For two years after the epidemic, Eid celebrations and group prayers at the mosque were limited to spreading Kovid. This year, the celebration is set to return with full enthusiasm. Both the big and small mosques were arranged for ‘Albida Namaz’ and the areas around the mosques were cleared on 29 April.
